Find the right problem. Build the right solution

A design sprint is a short, focused process to identify where AI could make the biggest difference in your business, then design and test a solution around it

What it is

How a design sprint works

A design sprint is a focused series of sessions over a few weeks. We start with a real challenge in your venue, look closely at how your team works, and identify where AI could genuinely help. Think of it as a trial shift for an AI solution: it proves itself on your floor before it joins the team.

We then configure and tailor the right solution around your processes and your brand. We test it carefully, make sure it works reliably, and measure the difference it makes before you decide what comes next.

Fast, but detailed

We move quickly, but we don't skip the important details. Your team's way of working, your brand, your rules and the guest experience all matter. The aim is simple: get something useful working properly, rather than spend months talking about what AI could do.

What you leave with

At the end, you know what works, what doesn't and what makes sense to do next.

Step by step

Your design sprint, step by step

1. Day 1

Understand your venue

We meet at your venue, understand how things work today, establish a baseline and agree on one opportunity worth improving.

2. Days 2 to 3

Configure your solution

We bring your menu, hours, rules, processes into the solution. You get access from the start, so you can see exactly what is happening.

3. Days 4 to 7

Test it together

The AI drafts. Your team reviews and approves. You see how it works in real situations before anything goes live, and you decide which kinds of reply may go on their own.

4. Days 8 to 14

Put it to work

The solution runs within the rules you've set. We keep an eye on how it's performing and have two short check-ins along the way.

5. Day 14

See what changed

We compare the results with where you started. We'll walk you through what we found, and the report is yours to keep.

This is the typical shape for solutions we already have in place. If your opportunity needs something different, it may take a little longer, and we'll agree the approach with you before anything begins.

You have the final say

The first question most operators ask is: what happens if the AI gets something wrong? Before anything goes live, you decide what it can handle and what should always come back to your team. Everything falls into one of three categories.

Always goes to a person

Allergies, complaints and anything involving money. Your team handles these, every time.

Waits for your approval

Anything new or unclear comes to your team first. You can send it, change it or leave it.

Can reply automatically

Straightforward things you've already approved, like opening hours, directions and confirmations. Once a type of reply has been tested and your team is happy with it, you can choose to let that one go on its own. We set that with you before it goes live.

You can switch it off

If you ever need to pause the AI, you can do it quickly. Your bookings and open enquiries still reach your team, so you can carry on as normal.

The trade

Why we're offering this for free

We're working with our first few Singapore venues to put OrdersUp into real-world service. In return for your time, feedback and honest assessment of whether it works, we cover the cost of the design sprint and of the solution we make during it.

We want to prove that what we've built works in real restaurants and bars: reliably, in real service, with real teams and real guests. Your feedback helps us make it better, and if it works for you, we hope you'll be happy to tell others.

What it costs you

About five hours of your time over two to three weeks. Never during service.

What you get

An AI solution built specifically for you, to address a real need, operating in your business

What we get

Honest feedback, references we can use in our marketing, and a platform that will work for F&B.

Not ready for a design sprint?

Start with a free 48-hour check of your venue's online booking paths, links, search results and social channels. We use public information only, so you don't need to give us access to anything.

We'll send you three to five practical findings, with clear recommendations on what you could improve. The report is yours to keep, whether you decide to work with us or not.

If any of that sounds useful

One conversation is enough to see whether it fits. If it is not right for your venue we will say so.
